Xiaomi Box launches in a three-city trial on March 19th at a lower price
The Xiaomi Box has had an arduous road to travel before it could go on sale: Chinese regulations reportedly kept it in limbo until local broadcaster iCNTV stepped in this January to get the ball rolling once again. The end is in sight now that a limited trial is set to start on March 19th. Changsha, Hangzhou and Shanghai will get about 10,000 total units of the Android media hub, whose price is dropping from the originally chosen ¥399 ($64) to an extra-frugal ¥299 ($48). The price slash could well make the set-top box that much more alluring, especially when it's still poised to give both Android and iOS users some media sharing love. Could you please hurry up your release plans, Xiaomi?

4 reasons not to upgrade to Samsung's Galaxy S 4
After months of anticipation, Samsung finally unveiled its new flagship for 2013: the Galaxy S 4, available at the end of April. The Galaxy S3?s successor will come packed with a 1.9-GHz quad-core Qualcomm 600 processor for U.S. models, a 5-inch Super AMOLED 1080p display and a host of new gesture-based features. But if you own a Galaxy S III, there are some reasons to sit this upgrade out.
No, Samsung?s third-gen Galaxy S phone doesn?t follow your eyes for pausing video, and you can?t use both cameras at the same time, but is upgrading to the S 4 really worth the price? Here are four reasons you should reconsider rushing out to buy Samsung?s ?Next Big Thing.?
1. The design isn?t much different
Samsung has made a few subtle aesthetic alterations to the Galaxy S 4, but it still looks nearly identical to the Galaxy S III. The new flagship comes with the same soft rounded edges and plastic frame that you?ll find on the S III, but with a slightly slimmer and lighter chassis and slightly larger screen.
The S 4 is 0.31 inches thin, marking a 0.4-inch difference from the 0.35-inch S III. It also comes with a larger 5-inch screen compared to the S III?s 4.8-inch display. You?ll be able to feel and see these differences when the phone is in your hand, but don?t expect a dramatic overhaul in terms of design.

2. The Galaxy S4?s software is coming to the Galaxy S III
Over the past year Samsung has made an effort to create a seamless user experience across all Galaxy flagships. For example, at the end of 2012 the Galaxy Note 2?s multi-window feature landed on the Galaxy S III, and we can expect a similar pattern with the S 4?s features.
Nick DiCarlo, Samsung?s vice president of portfolio planning, told PCMag that ?anything we can do that?s not dependent on hardware like infrared, we?ll definitely bring to all the flagship devices.? This means that the S 4?s camera improvements aren?t likely to make it to the S III, but other additions such as S Health, S Translator and Group Play could be available on the S III in the future.
Plus, you can enjoy a handful of the S 4?s new features via apps in the Google Play store. For example, the free runtastic Pro app uses GPS to track your movements and how many calories you?ve burned, just like S Health. Additionally, cable providers such as Time Warner offer apps that pair your smartphone with your cable box so it functions as a remote control, similar to the S 4?s WatchOn feature.
3. You?re not getting Samsung?s fastest processor
Samsung will be launching two versions of its Galaxy S 4. The U.S. version will feature a 1.9-GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, while the international edition will get Samsung?s 1.6-GHz octa-core Exynos chipset. While this is still an upgrade from the Galaxy S III?s 1.5-GHz dual-core CPU, overseas buyers will be getting 8 cores. There?s a reason why you can?t get Samsung?s own latest and greatest CPU ? it doesn?t support integrated 4G LTE ? but that doesn?t mean we have to like it.

4. The screen isn't much brighter
We had the chance to measure the brightness of the Galaxy S 4?s display, and the results weren?t impressive. The S 4?s 5-inch Super AMOLED screen registered at 258 lux, which is brighter than the S III?s 213 lux display, but way below the 299 lux category average. By comparison, the HTC One registered 463 lux on our light meter, and the iPhone 5 got 525 lux.
Bottom line
The Galaxy S 4 will undoubtedly be one of the best-selling smartphones of 2013, but it?s important not to get lost in Samsung?s promotional hype. The S 4 comes with the types of innovations that have pushed Samsung to sell 100 million Galaxy S handsets worldwide, but take a look at what you?re really getting for your money before you decide if this device is right for you.

Everyone wants a slice of the Barack Obama action, whether they support him or are against him. Pat Boone spoke out against the U.S. president on Fox News, calling him a Marxist, socialist and progressive.
Are y'all ready for another anti-Obama speech? We sure are.
Legendary pop/gospel singer Pat Boone took to Fox Business News to speak against Barack Obama and his alleged communist ways on Wednesday.
"He has a plan, he thinks it's good for America?? a virtually socialist nation in which nobody gets rich, government is in charge of everything," Boone said.
"He is following his playbook, which is Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals," he continued. "This is the guy that trained him to be a community organizer, a Marxist, a socialist, a progressive, who wrote the rules for doing what Mr. Obama is doing."

Where to begin? The terms "socialist" and "Marxist" are not interchangeable and, depending on modern definitions, can actually contradict each other. The allegation that Alinsky "trained" Obama is absurd for obvious reasons: He died when Barack was 10 years old. Alinsky's Rules for Radicals is about social organizing against the privileged power of the state, which opposes Boone's initial claim of Obama trying to keep the government "in charge of everything."
The term "progressive," on the other hand, is often misused (as it was by Mr. Boone) to mean social democrat, which hardly applies to the current president of the United States. Obama, at most, is a supporter of social liberalism, a philosophy long implemented by all developed countries but the U.S.
So we say, do your research Mr. Boone. It sounds grand and condemning to call Obama terms with negative implications, but they don't hold water.

?? NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Erik Murphy scored a career-high 27 points and grabbed a career-best 12 rebounds to help the 13th-ranked Florida Gators take the first step Friday toward trying to add a Southeastern Conference tournament title to their regular season championship by beating LSU 80-58.

?? SEC Commissioner Mike Slive presented Florida coach Billy Donovan with the regular season trophy before tipoff. Then the Gators (25-6) started working toward their first tournament title since 2007 when they wrapped up a three-peat. They will play either Tennessee or Alabama in the semifinals Saturday.

?? Scottie Wilbekin added 16 points, matching his career-best with four 3-pointers. Michael Frazier II had 11 and Patric Young 10 for Florida.

?? Ninth-seeded LSU (19-12) tried to keep up with the rested Gators but looked a step slow with too many shots just short a day after beating Georgia to advance.

?? Charles Carmouche led the Tigers with 14 points.

Murphy followed with his own layup and then a 3-pointer. The Tigers stayed close with Carmouche hitting his first three shots all behind the arc, the third coming midway through the half to pull LSU within 18-17.

?? Wilbekin hit a jumper, then stole the ball feeding Frazier for a bucket. Wilbekin then capped a 9-0 spurt with a 3 pushing Florida's lead to double digits. With O'Bryant going 1 of 5 in the half, the Tigers struggled to score inside and settled for too many jumpers. O'Bryant finished with eight points.

?? The final seconds summed up the first half. The Tigers dribbled looking for a final shot that Hickey bounced off the rim, then Frazier beat the buzzer with a 3-pointer giving the Gators their biggest lead at 43-28 at halftime.

?? In the second half, the Gators even worked out the final kink in their game hitting their first four free throws as the nation's top team in scoring margin just kept pushing the lead bigger. LSU managed a quick late flurry whittling down the final score but never got closer than 22 in the final minute.
