Job Summary:
The Marketing Manager supports the Office of Marketing and Communications by creating and implementing internal and external communications projects. The Marketing Manager is a clear communicator, verbally and in writing, who excels at managing multiple projects. The Marketing Manager will report to the Director of Marketing and Communications and will collaborate with a diverse set of colleagues throughout the School including deans, faculty, senior administrators, staff, students, alumni, and the University, as well as external constituencies.
Job Responsibilities:
? Work closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications on implementing a comprehensive, integrated marketing plan.??? Write brochures, flyers, direct mail, email, and advertising in collaboration with the Director of Marketing and Communications.??? Manage the production and delivery of publications, printed material, email marketing, and advertising campaigns.??? Manage the production of the School?s digital newsletters; manage at least two graduate student assistants and an editorial board, consisting of student writers and SOM faculty and staff.??? Manage and produce photo and video shoots including coordinating all participants and permissions.??? Manage creative assets: interview transcripts, articles, photos, video, and advertisements.??? Administer marketing research through online surveys and focus reports and analyze results.??? Manage the School?s social media platforms, in conjunction with the Web Manager, and be responsible for consistent, quality postings.??? Review web reports for the School?s website, Search Engine Marketing, and email marketing campaigns and collaborate on strategy.??? Support consistent brand and identity program, ensuring a common look and feel across all work products.??? Support the dean and leadership team with PowerPoint and other presentation assistance and talking points.??? Build and reinforce collaborative relationships within the Office of Marketing and Communications and all other ?client? departments, contributing to the overall success of the School.??? Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree required. Master?s degree preferred. At least six years of experience in marketing and communications field. Proven record of managing multiple marketing projects for traditional and digital media; Prior supervisory experience; Experience with writing, advertising, and publications; Experience with an array of e-communications marketing tools and social media platforms; Highly organized with strong record of meeting deadlines and attention to detail. Excellent oral communication skills and presentation skills. Ability to work collaboratively and independently. A consistent and heartfelt service orientation. Experience in MS Office and Abode Creative Suite. Familiarity with the Associated Press and Chicago Manual of Style. Familiarity with Google Analytics and Content Management Software preferred. Occasional night and weekend work required.
